Participation 2023

The YoungBrandAwards have been the major independent consumer vote for brands and products since 2011. Every year, young consumers honor the most popular brands and the most interesting products and services. The voting is independent and reflects the opinion of consumers about 100%.

The YoungBrandAwards are presented in the following categories:

The most popular brands

NOMINATION
All brands are nominated through an unprompted survey conducted by the Youngcom youth network (ages 16-35; n=200; January 2023).

PARTICIPATION
– Voting starts on May 1st, 2023 and ends on October 1st, 2023
– The most popular brand is queried (from a selection of at least 3 and a maximum of 8 brands) a category.
– The winner is the brand with the most votes from all voters aged 16 to 35
– Nominated companies can invite people to vote during the voting and thus increase the number of votes.

Most Popular Brand Winner:
The brand with the most votes in the 16 to 35 age group wins.

Award: Most popular brand in the category (e.g. "Most popular building society")

Financial products and services such as current accounts and financial apps are an important building block for their own financial freedom and provision, especially for the younger generation. It is precisely at this age that decisions for the coming decades are made.

NOMINATION
All products and services are nominated via a supported survey (n=200) and by the YoungBrandAwards team. Companies can also apply on their own initiative.
Applications can be submitted until July 31, 2023.

PARTICIPATION

– Financial products and services for young adults and families can take part
– Registrations are also possible during the voting.

Randomized, representative online voting

Survey period: 01.05.2023 to 01.10.2023 (each 12.00 p.m.)

Interviewed age group: 16 years and older, randomized

Minimum number of participants per product/service: n= 500

Award:
Products and services that have been rated by at least 500 participants with an average score (product interest) of 3.0 out of 5.0 receive the award.

Score based on:
Question about the basic interest based on the characteristics (0 to 5 stars=score)

Minimum score winner (= evaluation score):
At least 500 participants and 3.0 out of 5.0 stars

Products & Innovations

More than 40,000 new products appear on the German market every year. Every year, consumers honor the most interesting products as part of the YoungBrandAwards.
Companies can register their products for the YoungBrandAwards on their own initiative.
Registration is possible until July 31, 2023.

PARTICIPATION

– Voting starts on May 1st, 2023 and ends on October 1st, 2023 (12:00 p.m.)
– Registrations are also possible during the voting.
– Product awareness, product features, product interest and willingness to recommend are queried.

Products by at least 300 participants with an average score (product interest) of 3.0 out of 5.0 rated receive the award.

Querying the special features/advantages of the product
Question about the product interest (1 to 5 stars=score)

Insurance and insurance products such as occupational disability and liability are an important building block for the young generation to start their own lives.

NOMINATION
All products and services are nominated through an assisted survey and by the YoungBrandAwards team. Companies can also apply on their own initiative.

Having your own employer is an important part of your life, especially for generations Y & Z. Not only the type of work and the working environment, but also individual benefits are becoming increasingly important when deciding on an employer

NOMINATION
All employers are nominated through an assisted survey and by the YoungBrandAwards team. Employers can also apply on their own initiative. 

PARTICIPATION

– Regional and national employers can take part
– Voting starts on May 1st, 2023 and ends on October 1st, 2023 (12:00 noon).
